Game Over

We built our love like Minecraft creations,
Brick by brick, amidst endless sensations.
With each new accomplishment, a bond grew strong,
But now, the blocks of our affection crumble, leaving us stranded.

To the Call Of Duty, we answered,
Through fire and fury, our love was unstoppable,
but now the mission's failed, our hearts outgunned,
as we retreat from the battlefield, alone and undone.

Like Grand Theft Auto, we stole moments of bliss,
but now in this getaway car, we have to bid adieu.
The heist of our love, now revealed as a crime,
and like a plot, all our cheat codes fail to work.

In League of Legends, we once fought as a team,
but now, in this solo queue, I'm to survive alone.
In the Fortnite of our hearts, we once danced through battles in a love-enhanced trance,
yet now, the storm closes in and our defenses fail.

The power-ups of love, now all depleted,
my soul feels defeated, utterly unseated.
I press restart, but the screen remains black,
Game over, no more tokens of affection, just despair.

We broke high scores only for the final score to break us,
the achievements we unlocked, now just a memory of old.
Maybe we were in haste to pick coins instead of learning the rules,
but regardless, there's a future to believe, not a past to re-live.
